Format Error with Memory Stick Pro Duo ?

Three Months ago I had purchased a Sony digital camera. I inserted my memory stick pro duo into my s650 and taken many beautiful pictures. After sometimes I saw a prolonged flashing red light and then format error when trying to review. I tried to switch off and on and then it will work another couple of times. What is the solution for this.

I have seen this kind of problem earlier before and you can find more information about this topic in the Sony Knowledge Article C186797 where MEMORY STICK ERROR appears on the LCD screen is written. There are some reasons why the camera displays the MEMORY STICK ERROR or C:13:xx message (xx may be the random number) on the LCD screen. If the model specific information is required to complete any of the steps in this solution, refer to the operating instructions supplied with the product. Read the manuals that are supplied with the product and visit to the Sony e-support website for more genuine information. Reason: 1. Remove and re-insert the memory stick media several times 2. The inserted media is incompatible with camera. See the manuals again for memory sticks details 3. The inserted memory stick is not formatted. Try formatting the media using the FORMAT option in the camera menu 4. The memory stick terminals are dirty and clean it gently. Again read the manuals about the how to clean memory stick properly 5. Data is damaged on the Memory Stick. Try to use different media in the digital camera You need to perform digital media recovery through Photo Recovery Software in order to recover all the pictures and see them once again.
